After a long drive, which took all of two days to travel to the remote Nova Nickel-Copper Mine, located near Fraser Range in Western Australia, followed by the mandatory site inductions and establishment processes, work commenced on this 6Mw Solar Farm.
DRASOL’s initially small crew of eight got off to a good start with 50% of the single-axis tracker tubes installed after just one week. With additional resources the leveling, assembly of tube joiners and tracker alignment works were completed.
The first “Golden Row” was fully erected and completed after just four days on-site, much to the client’s approval. Then the PV module install commenced. Ten days after, some 2,000 PV modules were installed and 53 trackers were ready for handover to the client.
